Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has stated that there is a “big possibility” of Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti taking over as the Brazil national team coach.
Ederson further revealed his desire for Real Madrid to be eliminated from the Champions League, so that Ancelotti can take over the Selecao “as quickly as possible”.
Ancelotti is currently contracted with Real Madrid until the end of next season.
While Brazil’s confederation recently denied any deal with the Italian coach, the national team players are optimistic about Ancelotti’s appointment.
In fact, Ederson discussed the possibility with fellow Brazilian players Casemiro, Vinicius Junior, and Eder Militão.
Brazil has been without a head coach since Tite’s tenure ended after their elimination in the quarterfinals of the World Cup in December.
