Madiba FC, a debutant in the Nigeria National League (NNL), had an impressive start to their campaign with a 3-0 win against Ekiti United at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan. The hosts’ goals came from Ewodage Abubakar, Solomon Aliu, and Egbonwon Harrison.
In another match on matchday one, Ikorodu City defeated FC Ebedei 3-1. Captain Oyedokun Tosin scored a brace, while Olubode Hassan scored the other goal for the home team.
Both Madiba FC and Ikorodu City are in Southern Conference Group B3, along with Ekiti United FC, Abeokuta Stormers FC, and FC Ebedei.
More NNL games will be played across different centers on Wednesday and Thursday.
