Pence says Trump ‘demanded that I choose between him and the Constitution’ on Jan. 6

During a speech announcing his run for president in 2024, former Vice President Mike Pence spoke about challenging former President Donald Trump for the nomination. Pence said that on Jan. 6, 2021, Trump “demanded that I choose between him and the Constitution. I chose the Constitution and I always will.”
