The sudden death of actor Lance Reddick came as a shock to many, including his wife Stephanie Reddick, who posted an emotional tribute to him on Instagram.
The couple had been married since 2011 and had two children together. Reddick, who was 60 years old, passed away on Friday morning from natural causes at his home.
He was well-known for his role as Commander Zavala in the video game series “Destiny,” and many players paid tribute to him by saluting his character in the game.
Stephanie Reddick thanked everyone for their love and support in her post and encouraged donations to be made to momcares.org, a charity based in Baltimore, Reddick’s hometown.
Actress Halle Berry also posted her own tribute to Reddick on Instagram, recalling the warmth and kindness he showed to her on the set of “John Wick.”
The creators of “Destiny,” Bungie inc., also shared their condolences on Twitter, describing Reddick as an “iconic presence” who will be deeply missed.
Wendell Pierce, Reddick’s co-star on “The Wire,” also shared a touching tribute on Twitter, remembering Reddick as a man of great strength, grace, and talent.
Reddick was on a press tour for the upcoming release of “John Wick 4” at the time of his passing, and his co-star and director, Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski, respectively, also shared their grief at the loss of their “beloved friend” and colleague.
